Why can't efile my amended 2022 federal return using turbotax?

Is there a deadline for Turbotax efiling of 2022 return amendments

E-filing is closed.  The IRS closed e-filing several months ago.   When the IRS re-opens e-filing for the 2023 tax season, it will be for 2023 returns.   If you want to file your amended 2022 return, print it, sign and date it ink, and mail it in.

 

Use a mailing service to track it so you will know it was received.  It takes the IRS about six months to process an amended return.
