Question

Why can't I print my return? I hit the download print button and it evidently downloads. Opened the download file and it's not in a printable format.

None of this should be rocket science.  Push the print/download button and I should be able to print.  Poorly done TurboTax!

If you clicked on Download/print return (PDF) and received the form as a .txt file, then your Edge web browser changed the file extension.  Rename the file extension to .pdf

The PDF can be viewed by any compatible PDF viewer, such as Adobe Reader

 

If the file extension is .tax2019 then you downloaded the tax data file instead of the PDF and the tax data file can only be opened by the 2019 TurboTax software.
