Question

Why did get a refund that was $120 short of the full amount I was supposed to receive from my federal refund?

It may be that you used our Refund Processing Service to pay your TurboTax fees. If you did, your TurboTax fee plus the additional processing fee is deducted from your federal tax refund. Another possibility is that the IRS withheld some of your refund as a refund offset.

To view your fees in TurboTax:

  • Sign into your account.
  • Click My Account (top right of your screen).
  • Click Tools.
  • Click My Fees.
