Why does i t say " You filed your taxes for 2017 when i didn't turn in my w2 yet?

You do not have to mail your W-2 to the IRS for you to efile. It will be sent electronically with your return.
**If you mean you have not entered your W-2 yet, you can still add it if you have not submitted your return.
Many people do not have W-2's and the program has no idea if you have one or not, it only knows when you add one.
You are able to file without a W-2, there are many other forms of income that can be used.
