It depends.

The IRS issues a lot of refunds within 21 days, but it could take longer.

The online link is your best option to track your refund.  I have attached a link with more answers from the IRS as to why your refund may be taking longer to process.

Also, be aware, the IRS operations are limited during the Covid-19 pandemic.  Attached is a link with more information as to what departments are available to contact at the moment.

I filed my tax return online with turbo tax on 2/16/20, and it was accepted. However, I was notified that my 2018 AGI needed to be included on the 2019 return. How do we fix this without all the runaround?

It depends.

The 2018 Adjusted Gross Income (AGI) is used to protect your identity when electronically filing your return.

Please see the following for instructions on getting your 2018 Adjusted Gross Income (AGI).

How to find your 2018 AGI

But you mentioned your return was already accepted?  If this is the case, you probably do not need to do anything.

I recommend you log back into TurboTax and make sure your electronic filing was submitted and accepted successfully to ensure your return was filed.

Check E-file status

If the return shows that it was e-filed and accepted, you may just need to wait a bit longer.

If it does not show that it was filed, you will need to resubmit the return.
