Why haven’t I got the refund for the unemployment tax break? They said you didn’t have to amend your return they would just automatically send it

Only the IRS controls when the tax refund for the unemployment exclusion is disbursed.

The IRS is still working thru MILLIONS of returns that need to be adjusted ... they started mid May and expect this to continue thru the summer ... patience will be needed again this year.
