Why haven't I received an email stating that the 2nd stimulus check has been sent out on January 8th? Does that mean I'm not getting mine?

In this public forum we are unable to answer why some may not have received a direct email.  It is our desire to individually communicate with everyone, but it is possible that for a variety of reasons someone may not receive an email.  But that does not mean you will not receive a stimulus payment.  The vast majority of the clients will, but it may take a few business days for the payment to process and reflect in the bank account.  Only in a worst-case scenario where the IRS is unable to direct deposit nor mail a check or debit card would it be necessary to claim the stimulus as additional refund on the 2020 tax return.
