Why is my submitted date different from my pending date?

Ignore the dates.   TurboTax "thought" the IRS would begin to accept returns earlier in January, but now the IRS is not accepting/rejecting returns until January 29.

When you e-filed the tax return TurboTax thought the date the IRS would start processing the tax returns was 01/22/2024.  They were mistaken since the IRS announced their official date to start processing federal tax returns as 01/29/2024.  You can ignore the date from TurboTax.

Monday, Jan. 29, 2024, is the official start date of the nation’s 2024 tax season when the agency will begin accepting and processing 2023 tax returns.
