Is the credit shown on your Form 1040 Line 19?

Click on Tax Tools on the left side of the screen. Click on Tools. Click on View Tax Summary. Click on Preview my 1040 on the left side of the screen.

For tax year 2021 the Child Tax Credit is a refundable credit and is entered on Line 28 of the Form 1040.
