Why isn't my dependants ssn on prior w2s?

Dependents are not shown on W-2's.  A W-2 shows the amount of money you were paid and the amounts withheld for taxes, etc.

What are you trying to do?

Your post makes no sense ... please explain what you mean.

Please clarify your question.

• Are you saying your dependent received a W-2 and the SSN was not on it?
• If that was the case, who's SSN was on it?
• If a W-2 was issued to you, it will not have the dependents name or social on it.
• Is it a different for, like a 1099-DIV or 1099-INT where you are the account holder for a child?
