The IRS issues most refunds within 21 days, assuming that there is no delay and nothing is holding your return. Some returns are subject to an automatic hold due to the Path Act when certain credits are claimed.

The (PATH Act) prevents the IRS from issuing early refunds (before mid-February) on any tax return that claims the Earned Income Tax Credit (EIC) and/or Additional Child Tax Credit. You can expect your refund by "March 3rd" assuming that there is no hold or other issues with your return. For more information click on the link below

When will I get my refund if I claimed the Earned Income Tax Credit or Additional Child Tax Credit?

How do I track my state's refund?

If you applied for the 5-Day Early option, the 5-day rule applies when the IRS has processed and approved your refund and a date for direct deposit has been given. For example, if you go on the IRS website and the Direct Deposit is "scheduled" for "February 27th", that's when TurboTax 5 Days Early Option kicks in; it is not based on an assumption of when it might be ready, but rather on the actual date provided by the IRS.
