"not employed" does not tell us if you received any taxable income in 2020.   Did you receive any unemployment compensation?   Investment income?  Retirement income?  Rental income?  Social Security?  Tax refunds come from having tax withheld from taxable income.  Did you have tax withheld from any sort of income in 2020?

 

Can you be claimed as someone else's dependent for 2020?   Did you receive stimulus money?
