Question

Will I need to amend my return? I filed before Biden passed the credit for unemployment. I said it was supposed to go out in May. Can someone help me?

I feel like I am missing certain pieces of information here. I just want to know if I am getting more money back because I paid a lot in unemployment tax

If you have filed. The IRS will recalculate your return for the new 10,200 unemployment exemption for you. There is no need for taxpayers to file an amended return unless the calculations make the taxpayer newly eligible for additional federal credits and deductions not already included on the original tax return.
