Will I receive a stimulus check? I did my 2019 taxes, refund came in Feb. My direct deposit info is current. Just corrected mailing address in turbotax site today though.

Have you checked the IRS online portal for the status of your payment? Get My Payment | Internal Revenue Service

Here are reasons you would not receive it:

1. You indicated on your tax return that you can be claimed as a dependent by someone else.

2. You owe back child support.

3. Your adjusted gross income exceeds the limit for your filing status.

My status on IRS has been showing Payment Status Not Available this whole week. If my tax indicates that someone can claim me as a dependent, but my mother did not for her 2019, does that mean I'm automatically not eligible?

You are correct. You are not eligible if you checked the box on your tax return that indicated you could be claimed by someone else. If you meet the requirements to be claimed by someone else, you must check that box even if the someone else chose not to claim you.

If you do not meet the requirements, you can prepare, print and mail an amended return form 1040X to "uncheck" the box that you can be claimed by someone else. An amended return cannot be efiled. You must print and mail it yourself. TurboTax does not mail it for you.

In normal times, the IRS takes about 16 weeks to process and amended return. You will not be eligible for the stimulus payment until the IRS has completely processed your return.
