Will I receive a w2 for earnings from 12/15 to 12/28 of year 2024 if the payslip/chck was issued on 01/07/2025

I have only earnings from 12/15/2024 to 12/28/2024 from a company and paycheck/direct deposit was issued on 01/07/2025 for the same earnings. Since I only have one paycheck issued for the earnings and also the amount was received in the following year for all the earnings earned during last year will I have w2 issued by this company?

No; since you did not get paid in 2024, you won't get a W-2 for 2024. A cash basis taxpayer reports income when it is actually received, and reports expenses when they are paid. The majority of people who file individual income tax returns are cash basis taxpayers.

That paycheck will be of your 2025 W-2, which you will receive in January of next year.
