If you cleared your return and started over without e-filing the first return your new entries will be transmitted.

Which year did you amend? A 1040X must be filed by mail, and takes about 4 months to process.

I had filled out my form for this year, and cleared it and started over within a10 hour period

That is not an "amended" return -- you just made some corrections to an unfiled tax return.

I received notice the IRS had accepted my first return, so will they process that one? I had cleared it and the 2nd one completed successfully, but is pending for additional forms to become available
