The IRS has thousands of PATH act returns to process and they will not all be done at once so patience will be needed.

My status was updated overnight and the bars are now showing with a deposit date of February 27th. I filed February 8th with the EIC credit.

I have the same issue in 2019! It is infuriating and why waste the time and money to change the information if you haven't done anything at all with the returns! Anyway my one bar is gone and has been for a week and the still processing message is there instead of the highly anticipated Path Act message that would confirm that my return was approved!

Omg I’m going through the same my 21 days will be Monday 02/18 ....have you heard anything?

I had the same thing, had 1 bar then the path act message. Yesterday no bars and tax topic 152 was gone. Just checked again today and it updated to DDD of 2/22/19.

Did yours say still being processed r being processed

I filed 2/15 and by 2/26 my bars were gone, stating “ your tax return is still being processed & a refund date will be provides when available” on the left side my amount was missing as well but i did have tax code 152. Which i have heard if you still have that tax code that means that they most likely approved your refund they just dont have a date yet on when to send it. Woke up this morning 3/02 with good news!! My bars are back up with a DD of 3/06.. maybe if some people are experiencing the same thing  before you know it , youll have a DD .

My bars are missing it stated when a refund date is available when available with topic152 does that mean am not going receive a refund

@carliseyaa  no it doesn’t mean that

Mine is doing the same thing. I had filed on January 28th 2019. It was accepted January 29th 2019. I used to have. WLR status bar tracker that had dissapeared. It’s now February 27th and I have yet to receive anything. I called the IRS yesterday and actually spoke to an individual and she said my refund was flagged. It could even be a standard audit. But if my refund was rejected it wouldn’t say “processing will update when a date is available” I’m sure you will be fine. It is very common this year a lot of people are missing the status tracker bar.

If you were showing Tax Topic 152 simply means your return is still in the processing stage and topics and bars disappearing mean the process is moving along.

The general timeline of e-filed returns is: Transmission > Acceptance > Processing > Approval > Refund.

The IRS started processing returns later than in prior years and as such has a backlog to work through. They also just recently started processing returns claiming EIC and/or ACTC.

During processing, the government reviews your refund. During the review process, they look for math errors on your return (extremely rare in TurboTax) and they also check if you owe back taxes, unpaid child support, or other debts.

If they need to make any corrections, they may offset (reduce) your refund. In some cases, the correction might even increase your refund.

Once that part's done, the government approves your refund, which means it's ready to be deposited or sent.  At that point the IRS site will update with a direct deposit date.

Some 2019 federal refunds are delayed due to the PATH Act

there are many people experiencing this long delay unfortunately. Here is a link that customers are posting on with updates: Path Act Customer updates.

Are they auditing me or have they already approved it just waiting to set the date to get my refund
