You'll get the remaining $1,500 on your return, which comes from subtracting your $1,500 in advance payments from your total credit of $3,000?

Check line 28.  You got the Advance during the year.  You get the other half on line 28 (which goes to 32). It either adds to your refund or reduces a tax due.  Turbo Tax starts out giving you the full amount. So you might see a high refund. Then you enter what you already received so it subtracts it out.

I read your comment and I appreciate the response.  I tuly never saw the the $3000 at the top as you stated Turbo Tax startes out with it.  I onlt received $1500 last year and was expecting to receive the other half when I filed my taxes but it is not there.  I am so confused on all of this.  I feel like I need to do an amendment and see if I can cancel what I did and just let someone else do them for me.

Do you have 1500 on line 28?   That is the remaining amount you get.  Not the advance you already got.  The full amount or advance does not show up on your return.
