I received an email today Titled “my refund was on the way”. In the body of the email it says “Congratulations! Your refund is on the way”. I selected the option to have my taxes deposited 5 days early. What does that message mean? It doesn’t give me a date.

I'm not sure about the email you received, but once your return is filed, TurboTax has no control over the processing of your return or the release of your refund. Watch for a date on the Where's My Refund site. If you chose the 5 Days Early offer, you should receive your refund 5 days prior to the date on the Where's My Refund site.

Here are a couple FAQs to track your refund:
When will I get my federal tax refund?
How do I track my state refund?
Why does Where's My Refund say "approved" but TurboTax still says "accepted"?

Why do some refunds take longer than others?

What if my IRS refund is taking longer than 21 days?

I did the 5 days early. My refund was approved last Tuesday and my despot says is for Wednesday. Yet I haven’t seen the money from turbo tax nor gotten any information. My information on here isn’t even updated. Scam!!!

That is --sadly-- a marketing email.   Marketing has no idea when your refund is being issued.   Pay attention to the IRS refund site.

Once your federal return has been accepted by the IRS, only the IRS has any control.  TurboTax does not receive any updates from the IRS. Your ONLY source of information about your refund now is the IRS.

You need your filing status, your Social Security number and the exact amount  (line 35a of your 2024 Form 1040) of your federal refund to track your Federal refund:

    https://www.irs.gov/refunds

And ..... for that "5 day early" offer

    https://turbotax.intuit.com/early-tax-refunds/

Remember that the “”5 day early” date is based on the date given to you on the IRS refund site—-not the date the TT site shows in your account.   If your refund does not come in five days ahead of the IRS date, they are supposed to cancel the $25 fee.
