1099-MISC and QBI

I received a 1099-MISC for a small royalty payment, and Turbotax is automatically enrolling me for a QBI deduction that I don't think I should take.  I can't find any way to remove the deduction - I tried deleting the form and removing and re-entering my information, and it just automatically replaced it.  I don't think I qualify for this deduction, but how can I remove it or opt out of it?

Did TurboTax create a royalty property (Schedule E) for this income? If so, you can review the QBI questions for that property to indicate it is not eligible. You'll find these questions appear when you click "Done" from the bottom of the property summary page. Look for the question "Is this Qualified Business Income?" Check the No box and continue. No further QBI questions should appear.

The easiest way to find any section of TurboTax is to open your return and use the Search box at the top right side of the TurboTax header. Click on the magnifying glass, type in "Schedule e", hit Enter, and click the "jump to" link to go directly to beginning of that topic.

Or go to the left column in TurboTax Online and click on Tax Tools >> Tools >> Topic Search. Type in your topic, then click the topic in the list to go directly to the start of that section.
