If your only income was 1099-misc for 1,500.00 for summer job as class aide with only box 3 with something in it. Do you need to file?

A summer job would generally be considered self-employment. Self-employment income over $400 would require filing a federal return. That link has the filing requirements for federal Form 1040. I need to enter a 1099 - Am I Self-Employed?

If it is not self-employment income and that was the only income and you can't be claimed as a dependent on someone else's return, you would not have a filing requirement.
