1099 NEC Copy A Missing on TurboTax Home & Business

Why 1099 NEC Copy A is missing.  I am trying to print 1096 form with necessary forms but Copy A is not there.

Are you using the Online Quick Employer Forms or the Desktop Create Forms?

 

The Quick Employer Forms only supports e-filing of the forms with the IRS and Social Security Administration. Copy A of the Form 1099 and W-2 are only used for e-filing and are not provided for printing.

If you don't use QEF and print to mail, For each Form W2/1099 you should have the following copies:

Copy A for the Internal Revenue Service (two different people per page):

It  might print 3 per page, so if you have 4 people you get 1 on one page and 3 on another page.

 

Copies B, C, and 1:

…….(Copy B for the recipient);

…….(Copy C for your records); and on the same page

…….(Copy 1 for the state tax department if required)
