2018 was my first year as an IC, i am teaching for a private school. i have not applied for a EIN or business lic. but am. do i qualify for Self-Employed deductions?

Yes. You would be considered a Sole Proprietor and you would operate as an individual using your social security number (since you do not have a EIN number). You would utilize Schedule C to claim your income and expenses for 2018.
