Accidentally Filed Single Member LLC as Corporation

Hello, I recently started a business and am a single member LLC. I used the business version of TurboTax but accidentally submitted my taxes on IRS form 1120 instead of a schedule C on my personal taxes (already submitted). So my question is, how do I file an amendment? Do I just zero out any reported income on the 1120X and then add a schedule C to my 1040X? Or is there an additional step to notify the IRS to not view my blanked out 1120 and instead look at the revised schedule C for now and all future tax returns? I don’t want to tell the IRS I mean to use the 1120 going forward, I plan to use Schedule C’s.

yes. you'll need to file an amended corporate return (showing all zeros) if it is accepted and an amended personal return (with schedule C) if it is accepted.  if the corporate return is rejected you need do nothing further with regard to it. if your personal return is rejected you can add schedule c and resubmit.
