Question

accidentally selected S Corp but need LLC

Trying to get back to the screen where you can select the business type but system continues to default to S Corp even if I clear the tax data.

    LLC is not a form of taxation.

     

    Is this a Partnership (such as multi-member LLC that has NOT make an election to be taxed as a corporation)?

     

    Or is it a Single-Member LLC that has NOT made an election to be taxed as a corporation?

     

    Or something else?

     

    Are you using TurboTax "Business", for corporations and partnerships?  Or you are preparing your personal tax return and trying to enter a K-1?

    Hi AmeliasUncle - I am using the QBO link within my QuickBooks account to access year-end business filing. It takes me to Intuit TurboTax to complete the return. We are multi-member LLC.

    I am unsure of the actual screens, but you need to do a "Partnership" return.  There should be a place to indicate you want to start a new tax return.

     

    If you still can't find it, hopefully someone else will come by that is more familiar with the exact screens.
