Question

Are others having an issue with Form 1040, Schedule 3, Part1 lines 1 through 5 not included in line 8. There seems to be an issue with the nonrefundable portion.

Again, energy credit line 5a not added to total on line 8, therefore no credit is reflected on tax return.

The Form 5695 for tax year 2023 is not available in TurboTax at this time so the calculations for any type of energy credit will not be correct, nor will that be used as a credit on the Form 1040.

 

The IRS Form 5695 Residential Energy Credits for tax year 2023 has not been finalized in the TurboTax program.

The Form 5695 for tax year 2023 is scheduled to be available on 01/17/2024 (subject to change)
