My wife and I file jointly in the past, but now she has a small business LLC.

Can we still file jointly and file the business separately?

You may file married filing jointly and the small business activity is reported under her name on Federal form 1040 Schedule C.

Under the self-employment activity / general info / payments and identification, she will report the employer ID (EIN) for the LLC.

If you spouse is reporting the business activity on an IRS Form 1120-S, you may still file married filing jointly and the small business activity is reported under her name on IRS Form 1120-S Schedule K-1.
