Business owned by married couple, 1099K to one spouse

My wife and I run an Ebay business together in a community property state (CA). The 1099K from Ebay for our income goes to my wife.

I have read posts indicating that I should do one of these two things:

A. Enter all of the income on my wife's Schedule C. Create an expense on her Schedule C for half the income. Enter half the income on my Schedule C

B. Just enter the income on my wife's Schedule C.

Which is correct? Or is the answer something else?

Thanks

Yes, either option is acceptable if you file jointly, but option A is a better choice because it gives each of you your portion of the self-employment income. This matters when you file for Social Security.

If you file separately, you have to use option A.

The key here is that initially all of the income is reported in your wife's name, so that it matches the 1099-K.
