Yes.

If you are an employee (W-2) it would be deducted on your schedule A as a job expense.

If you are self-employed, it is reported and deducted on your schedule C.

I entered the fee for my social worker license and it came up as an item to fix when I ran the check.  Is this license renewal no longer deductible as the list below was taken from the TurboTax info box as the only deductible professional licenses??

- Armed Forces reservist
- Qualified performing artist
- Fee-basis state or local government official
- You're disabled and have impairment-related expenses

Deductions for unreimbursed job expenses were eliminated by the 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act.

Your license renewal is no longer deductible if you are a W2 employee.
