Question

Can I use TurboTax for Mac Home and Business Desktop to file my personal tax return and a separate tax return (form 1041) for a decedent's trust? Can I use for both?

When I click on 'Start a new return, it doesn't give me the option of creating a return for a Trust

    You cannot prepare a tax return for a trust (form 1041) using TurboTax Home & Business, as it is only for personal returns.

     

    You can use TurboTax Business CD/Download on a Windows computer (not compatible with Mac) to prepare form 1041.

     

    You can purchase TurboTax Business CD/Download from this page.
