Question

Can someone explain how to add the suffix to my name, Mark Cox II, but when I type the space and II, it errors on me, please help?

I am unable to type my name as it should appear on my tax return. This is the first year doing them myself.

If you are asked for your first name, that's all you enter.

If asked for your last name, that's all you enter.

If asked for middle initial, then that's all you enter (without a period.)
If you are asked for a suffix, then that's where you would enter II or 2nd or 3rd. If you are not asked for a suffix, then you do not enter it. Not having that will not affect your identity with the IRS or anything, since they identify you more by your SSN than by "just" your name.
