Question

"Check This Entry" 'Schedule of gain and losses: Date sold must be entered.' I have many sold dates. None of them are working. What should I do?

This is for crypto. The screens will sometimes alternate between requesting the date sold and the date acquired but no matter which date I have put in, I have not been able to advance to the next screen.

I see that you're in the Online Premiere software.  That's the right product for what you want to do.

There's a specific area to enter Cryptocurrency.

  1. Federal
  2. Wages & Income
  3. Investments and Savings
  4. Stocks, Cryptocurrency, Mutual Funds, Bonds, Other (1099-B)

If you've started this section you will see a bar for "Crypto (1099-B)"

If you click REVIEW you will come to Review your none sales

You will be able to consistently enter the dates.

If this is not the area that you're in follow the same initial steps

  1. Time to kick off your investments!  - Okay
  2. Relax. We got it. - Continue
  3. Let's import your tax info -
    1. at the bottom Enter a different way
  4. OK, let's start with one investment type
    1. Select Cryptocurrency -
    2. Continue
  5. Select your crypto experience -
    1. Type it myself
  6. Let's get started typing in your crypto tax info - Enter the name of the service provider
  7. Did you get a 1099-B from?  Yes/No
  8. Post your record.
