Question

Do I have to mail anything to IRS if I am eFiling my S-Corp Return?

I have 2 Companies both S Corp.  One is new and this is the first year it has filed any Federal or State Return.  The second company was an LLC and this is the first time I have filed as a S Corp.  But this is not the first time filing for this company.

My question is simple I hope.  I am eFiling both companies.  TurboTax 2024 for S Corp #1 gave me Filing instructions to mail my 1120S federal return.  The second S Corp did not provide any mailing instructions.  This is the first time for S Corp #2 to file as a S Corp.  The other years it was filed as an LLC with my return.

My question is does the S Corp #2 have to mail in a return?  Is it always required for all S Corps to mail in 1120S or is it only required the first time?

Normally, you should be able to e-file any S-Corp return whether it has filed before or is a new company. The instructions for filing by mail are included with all business returns.

Have you tried to e-file the returns? If there is something preventing you from e-filing one of the returns, TurboTax will explain this under the File a Return topic.
