Do I have to turn in receipts for tax deductible items purchased during the year for my business when I file online?

No, you do not have to attach receipts to your tax return, but you certainly should retain them with your records.  If the IRS were to ask for confirmation of your expenses or deductions, you would have to produce the receipts.
