Do I need the NOL 85 that shows with my personal Alabama return? I do not have a business.

No -- if you don't or haven't had a business, you shouldn't have a net operating loss, and neither Form 85 or Form 85-A should be needed on your state return.  See the TurboTax Help article How do I view and delete forms in TurboTax Online? for guidance in removing a form.

If you need to remove Form 85-A in TurboTax Online and the above doesn't achieve this:

1. Open TurboTax Online
2. Select  Tax Home in the left pane
3. Select the dropdown to the right of State Taxes
4. Select  Pick up where you left off
5. Page through any screens until you get to Income, Payments and Carryovers For Years Prior to 2024
6. On the  Prior Year(s) Net Operating Loss screen, select Delete to the right of the NOL item
7. Select  Yes on the Delete Confirmation page
8. When the Prior Year(s) Net Operating Loss screen reappears, select Done
