Ending availability for Mac OS Monterrey

I think Intuit is way jumping the gun on ending availability to Mac users using Monterrey.  Intuit has notified there will no longer be any security support for Monterrey as of November 2024 yet Apple has historically provided security updates for several ensuing years after "discontinuing" support for older OS.  I simply hate to have to replace a perfectly good working computer just for one piece of software.

Intuit is not the only vendor discontinuing support for that OS.

It is irrelevant that TTis not the only vendor discontinuing access to Monterrey.  TT's justification was about security yet Apple will still continue to provide security updates to Monterrey.  TT's justification is hogwash.

From the Wide World of Sports:

With last year's release of macOS 14 Sonoma, we anticipate that macOS 12 Monterey will no longer receive security updates after November 2024. As a result, we will end support of this version on November 30, 2024.
