Estate Tax - No income only mortgage interest & property taxes

Hi - My father passed away in 2021 but I have continued to pay the mortgage on his house.  I've received a 1098 for the mortgage interest & property taxes for 2022 as the house is now under the estate of my dad.  There is no income coming in for the estate.  Do I need to file an estate return just to report the 1098 mortgage interest and property taxes?

No.  You only have to file an estate tax return in order to report income for the estate.

However, if the expenses of the estate are significant enough then the loss generated by those expenses might make you want to file a return.  The heirs of the estate are entitled to take a portion of the deductions created by the estate tax return on their personal tax returns.  It's not a simple process and I wouldn't mess with it if it is just the mortgage interest and property taxes on the house but it is an option.
