Filing Schedule C with no income

Hello friends! I am currently preparing my 2023 return and I am closing sole proprietorship so I need to file Schedule C for the last time. However, I had no income or expenses for this business in 2023 so TurboTax isn't putting Schedule C on the full return when I review it. Is there any way I can force a Schedule C to be created, or do I need to use another service? Thanks in advance for any input!

Be sure to go into your Schedule C and indicate that you select I stopped [your business] in 2023 on the Tell us about how long you've worked in [your business] screen.  That will let the IRS know that you did not run the business during 2023.

Also, be sure that if you had any assets being depreciated for your business that you have gone through that section to indicate that they are no longer used for business.

Thank you so much for the quick response! I did indeed indicate I ceased business in 2023 - still no luck!

You can't file a schedule C with no information on it.  The IRS doesn't process pages from a return with no information.  So you need to enter some income - a dollar or ten bucks or something - and a corresponding expense to take it to zero.  Then you can get your schedule C added to shut the business down.
