I efiled my 2020 Partnership return and had to amend it. How do I file the amended return?

TurboTax Business Windows

When you first start/open the TurboTax Business program, there are several choices including "Amend a Tax Return. You can also get to this screen from an open return by clicking on File, Exit. Clicking on "Amend a Tax Return" will show you the returns you have already filed, that are eligible to be amended.

Hi how do I either file a superseded return when my Scorp 2021 tax return was already accepted? or amended if I have to? I go through all the steps but it does not give me the option to actually file on the filing page. Do I have to mail it in only? I only need to do federal not state and I am not seeing a spot for an explanation as to why I need to amend the return.

@bethtucker123 Filing an amended return should be available at this point. An S-Corp return doesn't provide a section to explain why you are amending the return - the math is supposed to do that. Once it is completed you should be able to efile.

If you are using the desktop program to file your amended 1120S then you need to create a copy of your tax file and make the changes to that. You will be able to efile the copy.
