Hi,I'm filing my taxes and in box 14 of my w-2 it has PA-KEL2, and turbo tax wants me to correct the category. I have no idea what this is, can anyone help?

Box 14 is used by the payroll department.

The information in Box 14 usually has no tax relevance.

SOMETIMES it will report an obscure tax, but usually the people that pay these taxes are fully aware of it and know how to report them.

K usually indicates a non-taxable reimbursement of some sort which is not relevant to your tax return.

You can choose "Other" from the drop down or leave Box 14 blank.

If you are unsure, ask your payroll department.
