How can I enter the amount borrowed on Sched A?

The program won't let me complete my Fed taxes until I enter the amount borrowed. On the review screen it's highlighted where the number needs to be added but I'm not able to at that page. I tried to rework that section and still can't get it.

The amount borrowed for your mortgage?  If so, you will enter it when you enter your 1098 or mortgage interest. 

To edit your 1098 click the following:

  • Deductions and Credits
  • Revisit next to your 1098
  • Enter your Outstanding Mortgage Principle in box 2
