E-file reject F8962-070 happens when your return is missing Form 1095-A Health Insurance Marketplace Statement. First, find your 1095-A form. If you don’t have it, sign in to your healthcare.gov account and download it. You can also wait a few days. The ACA started mailing the forms out on January 31.

Once you have your form:

1. Sign in to TurboTax and select Fix my return.
2. On the Let's fix your returns and then refile screen, select Fix it now.
3. Select Continue on the Let's take a look at your return screen.
4. You’ll get taken back to the Keep going to refile your returns screen. From here, select Federal from the left menu.
5. Select Deductions & Credits from the top menu and scroll down to Medical. Select Show more.
6. Select Start or Revisit next to Affordable Care Act (Form 1095-A).
7. Answer the questions and continue through to enter the details from your Form 1095-A.
8. When you’re done, select File from the left menu and continue through to re-file your return.

Alternatively, if you do not have Market Place insurance use the steps below. It has been successful for others.

You can try to enter $1 for the 1095.  This will not affect anything on your return, but having the form there may get the IRS to accept your return.  To do this take the following steps:

1. Click Deductions and Credits
2. Scroll down to Medical and Click Show More
3. Click Start or Revisit next to the ACA
4. As you walk through the questions, you will be asked if you received a 1095-A.  If you did NOT, click YES.
5. Enter 0's for the Marketplace identifier and Policy number.
6. Enter $1 for January monthly premium amount and SLCSP
7. Walk through to the end and submit your return.
