Information in boxes 8-11 on form 1099-B reports information about gain and loss from Section 1256 Option Contracts (Mark to Market). Get out of the 1099-B and go to Contracts & Straddles

Boxes 8, 9, and 10 are all used to figure the aggregate profit or (loss) on Section 1256 option contracts for the year. The net figure is then listed in box 11, which should be reported on Form 6781.

How do I enter Form 6781?
