How do I fix "DeductibleMortgageIntIndrAmt is too small" on Form 8829?

I'm trying to deduct home mortgage interest against self-employment income, and TurboTax is refusing to e-file for me with the error "DeductibleMortgageIntIndrAmt is too small" on Form 8829. I think this is because Line 10 "Deductible mortgage interest" wound up _negative_. I tried changing the number in the field to zero or a positive number, but after clicking "Continue" it's still busted.

To clarify, how did you enter the depreciation originally?

Did you first enter Home Mortgage Interest (Form 1098) in the personal section and then click to allocate on the Home office screen in the business section?
