How do I go about getting my stimulus payments?

I was incarcerated and never got any stimulus payments. How can I receive them now?

If you did not get the stimulus payments and if you did not file your 2020 and 2021 tax returns, you can file these 2 returns now and report any income in those tax years (if any) and to claim the stimulus payments as the Recovery rebate credit.

 

You can claim the first and second stimulus payments on your 2020 tax return. 

 

You can claim the third stimulus payment on your 2021 tax return.
