How I can get my first stimulus check?

File a 2020 income tax return to get your first stimulus check amount. The IRS is no longer sending out first and second stimulus checks. It says you will have to file a tax return.

Your missing stimulus money will be added to your refund as a Recovery Rebate Credit.

In TurboTax Online, to get to the Recovery Rebate Credit section

• Type stimulus in Search in the upper right
• Click jump to stimulus
• Say YES to It looks like you qualified for the stimulus, did you get any payments?
• If you said YES TurboTax will show you the check amounts you were supposed to get.
• Say NO the amounts are not correct because you got $0 for stimulus one.
• Enter the actual payments you received ($0 for the first payment and $600 for the second, if that's what you received.)
