I am asked to check an entry. the message says Schedule C (Pastor): Other Expenses Text-1 is invalid. Please remove all preceding spaces or invalid characters. Schedule

You have an entry in the Other Miscellaneous Expenses"  section that needs to be fixed.

To enter your home office, vehicle mileage, supplies and other common business expenses:

·         Type “Schedule C” in the Search box.

·         Select the “Jump to” link.

·         Select Add expenses for this work (or Edit and navigate down to Business Expenses).

Your Other Expenses will be found under "Other Common Business Expenses" then "Other Miscellaneous Expenses"  section at the very bottom of the screen. (See the attached screenshot below. Click to enlarge.)

You'll see an entry for Description and Amount. (See "Postage" in the screenshot.)

Delete any spaces before the description entry or any special characters not allowed by the IRS efile system  such as (-!@#%^&*)
