Question

I am not able to add my business expenses. I click the pencil beside "Needs Review" and the screen just flashes.

I am not able to add any of my business expenses. The screen just flashes when I press the pencil. Last year when I did this it automatically scanned my bank account and did this but this year I don't even see a option to connect my account

    Try clearing “cookies and cache” and logging back into TurboTax.  This should reset the program so you can connect to your bank account.

    It still does not give me any options to add expenses.  I click the pencil and the screen just reloads the same thing.  I even click "Add Expenses for this work" and it does the same thing

    We have been able to reproduce this experience in TurboTax Online but suspect this is browser-related. Please log out of TurboTax, refresh your browser, and clear your cookies and cache. Then restart your browser and log into TurboTax again.

     

    Another option is to use a different browser.

     

    When you return to the Self-Employment topic, enter your business income before working on your expenses. Also, you can try adding a new line of work (which you can delete later) before working on your current business.

    Hey friend- I was able to do it, by stating I did not want the max return up front and instead wanted to do it as over multiple years. I put my assets in, then switched back to the lump sum payout for this year.
