I am not using a schedule D yet turbo tax is saying I need to upgrade because You have Capital Gains or Losses (Schedule D). I am filing a standard deduction??

How do I bypass this?

Did you enter a sale of any investments, your home or other real estate, crypto, or anything else?

Did you have a capital loss last year that produced a capital loss carryover?

Did you import 1099 information from any financial institution?

Did you enter or import any 1099-B?

Did you enter or import a 1099-DIV with an amount in any box other than 1a, 1b, or 2a?

Did you enter any Schedule K-1?

What kinds of income do you have other than wages on a W-2?

The standard deduction has nothing to do with what kinds of income you have or whether you need Schedule D.
