I amtrying to access Schedule 1 on from 1040 to crrect an entry in Line 8 but I cannot figure out how to access this and edit. Any suggestions?

The system carried over an entry on my 2023 Return by mistake and now I cannot delete since I cannot directly access Schedule 1. Any suggestions?

Are you using Online TurboTax or desktop TurboTax?

Schedule 1, Line 8 includes many types of possible income that flow from other parts of the program. What type of income do you need to correct, and someone can likely tell you how to correct it, which may require going back to the interview for that topic.

Line 8 of your Schedule 1 can contain a broad range of income. Once all of the various types of income are entered into TurboTax, the total is transferred to line 8 of your 1040. This is why you can't edit it. You have to figure out what the income is and then edit or delete it that specific income. For example, if the income came from a 1099-MISC, then return to your entries for the 1099-MISC and make your correction there.

Start by checking to see if you entered Miscellaneous Income. Go to 1099-MISC.

Thanks so much!! I went back to the Section "Other reportable income" and it had my old 2023 Data there. So I deleted two entries and that cleared it up!! You saved my time and money since I didn't have to upgrade to Premium Edition to get this cleared up!! God Bless and thanks!! John 3:16
